OEE Calculator
Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity. Simply put – it identifies the percentage of manufacturing time that is truly productive.
Input Parameters
Calculated OEE Score
World Class: 85% or better
Typical: 60%
Low: 40% or lower
Methodology & Assumptions
This calculator uses the standard Seiichi Nakajima formula. It assumes you have already accurately logged downtime, micro-stops, and scrap rates.
| Metric | Common Pitfall |
|---|---|
| Availability | Including breaks/lunches in planned production time. |
| Performance | Using 'budgeted' cycle times instead of theoretical minimums. |
Frequently Asked Questions
- Can OEE exceed 100%?
- Mathematically yes, if your Ideal Cycle Time is set too high (slower than actual mechanical capability), but practically no. If it exceeds 100%, your baseline data is flawed.
