OEE Calculator

Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is the gold standard for measuring manufacturing productivity. Simply put – it identifies the percentage of manufacturing time that is truly productive.

Input Parameters

Operating Time / Planned Production Time

Ideal Cycle Time / (Operating Time / Total Pieces)

Good Pieces / Total Pieces

Calculated OEE Score

World Class: 85% or better

Typical: 60%

Low: 40% or lower

Methodology & Assumptions

This calculator uses the standard Seiichi Nakajima formula. It assumes you have already accurately logged downtime, micro-stops, and scrap rates.

Metric Common Pitfall
Availability Including breaks/lunches in planned production time.
Performance Using 'budgeted' cycle times instead of theoretical minimums.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can OEE exceed 100%?
Mathematically yes, if your Ideal Cycle Time is set too high (slower than actual mechanical capability), but practically no. If it exceeds 100%, your baseline data is flawed.
